Our inspiration, from then to now
Established in 1985, The Twisted Thistle has been bringing smiles to clients by customizing existing furniture and creating new pieces with an antique feel. We design with your colour scheme in mind, where your imagination is the only limitation. We work with various mediums including resin, jesmonite, oil, watercolour, concrete, clay, marble, and wood.
Crafting unique stories
Our colour choices are almost endless, and patterns can be recreated with precision. One of our most popular creations is the use of tartan patterns, hand-painted onto furniture to mimic the raised weave of cloth, run your hand across it and you can almost 'feel' the fabric. We also specialize in children's themed dressers that bring excitement to any nursery, and amazing hall consoles that brighten up an entryway.

What we love most is the satisfaction of seeing a happy client when we bring their dream to life; it's exhilarating. We specialize in utilizing our customers' own pieces whenever possible, but we can also create from new furniture. We can transform a store-bought dresser or a flawed mid-century modern piece into something you never imagined.
